THE BOOK I HAD TO LIVE FIRST
The story began in 2022.
At the time, I thought I was experiencing a relationship that had entered my life unexpectedly and left me with more questions than answers.
What I didn’t realize was that I was standing at the beginning of a much larger journey.
I had to experience the connection before I could understand what it was teaching me.
I had to feel the attachment before I could recognize the patterns beneath it.
I had to sit in the uncertainty, the longing, the heartbreak, and the questions before I could see how they connected to beliefs I had been carrying long before this person entered my life.
At the time, I thought I was living a love story.
What I was really living was an awakening.
An invitation to look at myself more honestly than I ever had before.
The relationship was only one chapter.
The deeper story was learning why I needed to be chosen.
Why I confused control with safety.
Why I looked outside of myself for validation that could only be found within.
None of those lessons could have been learned from a book, a podcast, or someone else’s experience.
They had to be lived.
They had to be felt.
They had to unfold through the moments that challenged me, broke me open, and ultimately led me back to myself.
Over the four years that followed, I found myself on a path of healing, self-discovery, and spiritual growth. What started as an attempt to understand a relationship slowly became an attempt to understand myself.
Then, four years later, I began writing.
I started at the beginning—how we met, the instant connection, the moments that seemed ordinary at the time but would eventually change the direction of my life.
And as I wrote, something unexpected happened.
The writing became part of the healing.
Each chapter revealed something new.
Each memory carried a lesson I couldn’t fully see when I was living it.
Again and again, I found myself having the same realization:
This is why it happened.
Not because the relationship was meant to last.
But because it was meant to reveal
It was meant to awaken.
It was meant to transform.
I believe this book was always waiting for me.
But before I could write it, I had to become the person capable of understanding it.
